Lee & Tengku Azrina was founded on 1 April 2005 by Mr Lee Ting Kiat and YM Tengku Azrina binti Raja Abdul Aziz.
Both partners began their careers in Kuala Lumpur before relocating to Johor Bahru in 1994 and 2000 respectively: Mr Lee at Andrew Wong & Co., Azim Tunku Farik & Wong, and Zaid Ibrahim & Co.; YM Tengku Azrina at Wong & Partners (the correspondent firm of Baker & McKenzie) and Zaid Ibrahim & Co.
This shared Kuala Lumpur background, along with years of working alongside one another, shaped the firm’s approach from the outset.
From a two-partner practice in 2005, the firm has grown organically into one of the largest law firms in Johor by number of lawyers. Our clients include international financial institutions, government-linked companies, statutory bodies, public listed companies, multinational corporations, property developers, and professional firms, with work spanning Malaysia and the region.
Today, Lee & Tengku Azrina comprises six partners, five senior associates, and nine associates, supported by over fifty staff.
The firm marked its twentieth anniversary on 1 April 2025.
Later that year, on 10 October 2025, we formalised a strategic alliance with Kuala Lumpur–based Law Partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding signed at its Client Appreciation Night. Law Partnership's practice areas complement our own, covering intellectual property, technology, media and telecommunications, white collar crime and corporate investigations, employment and industrial relations, arbitration, and dispute resolution, and corporate and commercial.
On 22 December 2025, we relocated to the entire Level 29 of Menara Landmark in the Ibrahim International Business District, reflecting the firm's growth and its long-term commitment to its home in the south.
Our strategic location in Johor Bahru places us at the heart of the Johor–Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ), one of Southeast Asia’s most active economic corridors. From here, we serve as a vital link for businesses operating across the region.
