Tiffany Tan Zhao Ning

Background

Tiffany is a graduate of the University of Reading, UK, having obtained First Class Honours in her Bachelor of Laws degree. She began her legal career with her pupillage at Lee & Tengku Azrina in 2022 and was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2023.

Tiffany is conversant in English, Malay, and Chinese.

Experience

Tiffany has gained wide and all-encompassing experience across banking and finance, corporate and commercial, and property practices. She advises conventional and Islamic financial institutions on regulatory and compliance requirements for financing transactions, handles financing documentation for corporate and individual borrowers, and facilitates the release of financing facilities by financial institutions.

In corporate and commercial practice, Tiffany has assisted in a broad range of corporate matters, including share sales and shareholders’ agreements, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence exercises in relation to corporate exercises by public-listed companies, and acting as due diligence solicitors in the initial public offerings (IPO) process.

Tiffany also handles property transactions, ranging from residential, commercial, and industrial properties. She advises local and overseas clients, including those from Singapore and China, in property transactions.

  • Involved in the preparation of financing documentation and facilitation of the drawdown process of facilities of up to RM100 million for private, public, and trust companies from various industries, including new energy technology, property, real estate investment trust, and construction.
  • Provided legal advice to conventional and Islamic financing institutions in relation to various queries, including the legal effect and prohibitions of the relevant provisions on financial assistance and security under the Companies Act 2016, and the enforceability of different security documents.
